Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress who achieved notoriety for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun as well as Beta Saajan. She was first known for her role in Tezaab from the 1980s and Tezaab, which she co-starred alongside an established actor Anil Koopor. Then she appeared in the film Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dancing at a young age. As a teen, she tried her hand at acting, but the majority films she attempted to make failed. Then, she discovered success in Indian cinema and rose to the very top. The actress took a hiatus from her profession following her marriage before returning to the industry of entertainment. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit won the film eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is the fourth most prestigious civil award in India. Her fame is based on her work in the field of social service as well.
